SF IndieFest’s Wraps its 17 Edition of the Festival

Award Winners Include THEY LOOK LIKE PEOPLE, THE CULT OF JT LEROY, EAST SIDE SUSHI, and FREE

The 17th edition of SF IndieFest came to a close last Thursday at the Roxie theater, after another fantastic run showcasing some of the world’s best independent cinema at the Roxie and Brava Theaters in San Francisco, and the Humanist Hall in Oakland. 73 filmmakers from around the U.S. and abroad (including Argentina, Sweden and Australia) met with 11,000 festival attendees to enjoy sellouts for the Opening Night (David Cross’ HITS) and Centerpiece presentations (World Premiere of THE OTHER BARRIO), screen award-winning independent films during the day, and mingle at the many parties at night.

Save the Date! – 14th SF DocFest (June 4 to 18)

With another successful SF IndieFest coming to a close, the San Francisco Documentary Film Festival (SF DocFest) begins to ramp up for its 14th year of showcasing the best non-fiction films from around the world. Opening night will take place June 4 at the Brava Theater followed by 2 weeks at the Roxie Theater (June 5-18) and a week at the Vogue Theater (June 5-11).
